Creating Supportive Space – a follow up workshop for directors 1/22/22 3:00-5:00pm

Directors are responsible for establishing a safe and supportive working environment where actors can tell stories expressing the full range of human experience. It’s a demanding job requiring close attention to both the characters and the actors. In this second workshop, participants will incorporate techniques and methods that create supportive spaces into their own style of directing. Time will be spent discussing script breakdown, auditions and casting, developing a consent-based rehearsal room, navigating conflict, and working with and without an intimacy director.
